Tips for PMs
- A project is a one-time effort with a unique outcome, start/end date, and budget. Clearly distinguish projects from routine work and treat each appropriately. We all need PM skills because we all end up working on projects at one time or another.

Get it on the Table
- At the start of every project I set the expectation of needed communication from all members. With stakeholders in the room or on the call, I always state, "At some point in the project, we will have difficult discussions or decisions to make. I am making a promise to the team to bring these up and get them on the table sooner rather than later, but need to ask everyone on the team to do the same." Then I verbally ask for their commitment to do so.

What can happen?
- When I start a new project I always ask of myself - what is the worst thing that can happen. Then I make a way to not have that happen.
