Number 15

January 3, 2000

Tomorrow is the big day. My first day back at work (with the exception of a couple of hours here and there) since mid-December. Contrary to the way I felt last week, I am not looking forward to it. Based on the few hours I spent there over the holidays, I just know it's going to be more of the same: The List...the Dynamic Duo...too many lofty goals...too many tasks...not enough input from the people expected to get it all done. All that teamed with paranoia, resentment, unhealthy competition, distrust, confusion, and empty and/or broken promises. Yep, sounds like it's gonna be a barrel of laughs. Just give me the damn carrot!
