Week 14 - Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
May 2, 2001
The field of candidates is getting smaller each week. The person you vote off this week won't get promoted to "Chief Executive Officer". Just like the TV show, you decide who to promote by voting one person out of the company each week.
It's All Ogakor?
Last week I predicted Ogakor would get rid of the last remaining member of the Kucha tribe, and they did. They voted Elizabeth off and proved her final comment that she was just too strong to go up against in the final voting.
Now that they are down to the final three members of Ogakor, and since two episodes will be broadcast together tonight, here is our last chance to look at the predictive politics that have dominated this program.
Tina
Tina's position is shakier this week than it has been in a long time. She and Colby both would rather go up against Keith in the final pair, so whichever doesn't win immunity will get voted off. Tina could win immunity this week, depending on the challenge chosen, but it's hard to bet against Colby in that regard. Keith would rather face Colby in the final pair (better chance of winning, albeit very small) so he'll vote against Tina too.
Keith
The others want to go against Keith in the final pairing, because they think he will be easier to beat. For that reason Keith is probably safer than he thinks he is. If he wins immunity, of course, he stays in the contest and goes to the final pair. He won't win there, but he'll get more money. Obviously, he votes against whichever of the other two doesn't have immunity. If he wins immunity, he votes against Tina, figuring he has a better chance to beat Colby in the final voting than her.
Colby
Colby needs to win immunity one more time. Tina would rather face Keith in the final pair, so she will vote against Colby if she can. Keith probably won't vote against Colby, but you never know.
Final Departure Prediction
I expect Keith to be everybody's favorite stalking horse, so whichever of the other two doesn't win immunity will be the last person voted out of the group.
Tribal Jury
At this point, there are only three possible combinations for the final pair. In order of likelihood, they are:
- Colby (6) - Keith (1), could go 7-0
- Tina (6) - Keith (1), could go 5-2
- Tina (5) - Colby (2), could go 4-3
My Prediction
Although it is the least likely, I expect the final pair to be Tina and Colby. Remember that the jury voting will not just be for Tina or for Colby; there will also be votes against Colby and against Tina. A rigorous review of the probable voting by the seven-person jury shows Tina winning by 5-2 or 4-3. However, just like Richard last year, Colby has played the game better all along. I think he will still prevail. Your new CEO - COLBY. Like it or not, that's my prediction.
