Good News/Bad News

Got some good news today!!!! Two of four projects I've been busting my butt on are complete (and ongoing). Well, a coworker who is consulting with another agency on another project happened to see these two projects mentioned in their strategic plan, along with my name as the contact person and a handsome $ figure (what they have budgeted) for my services in these areas.

Got some bad news today. : - (

These folks have been hemming and hawing about there being no money for raises (saw my name on a list for promotion, but very little money attached).

Yet, I learned today that not one, but two people (from the division we merged with) received THREE, count 'em THREE raises in 1999. Why? Friend and relative of a friend of THE BOSS..

That's ok. I'm building my resume. AND, I have a job interview next week. It's out of town, so I doubt I'll take it if offered. But, it will at least serve to hone and update my interviewing skills.

I'll keep you posted.
