Back in September, we polled the visitors to this site and ask how much training you had received before your first management job. The poll results showed almost three-quarters had received no formal training at all.

Now one of our visitors has posted the results of a phone survey he did in the UK. Every company he called "complained of having had problems in the past 12 months created by incompetent management", yet only 10% had front line managers who had been trained to do that job.

I have repeatedly stressed the need to "Train Your Supervisors". This is more proof of that.
