No daily activity seems to eat up more of a manager's time than attending meetings. Okay, there are certain meetings you won't be able to get out of. For example, when your boss schedules a meeting and includes you, it's a good idea to show up. However, some of the meetings you have every day are ones that you run. Look at whether all of them are really necessary. If not, cancel them. If they are, you can make those meetings waste less of your time by using my Stand PAT approach to meeting management. Using it can give you more time each day.
