As we celebrate the Thanksgiving Day holiday in the US, most offices and other workplaces are closed, many for the next four days. This gives us an opportunity to get together with family and friends and to remember all the things we have in our lives to be thankful for.
This year, use the occasion also to give thanks for the people who make you successful at work. For managers, that should include customers and employees. Take a moment to thank customers for their business and to thank employees for their hard work and dedication.
While many in the US are relaxing in front of the TV, watching football games and holiday parades, others in essential jobs are still at work. Many of you are in other countries where this is just another work day. I am thankful that all of you choose to spend some time each week visiting this site and helping me extend the message that all good management is really people management.
