Starving The Golden Goose

Mike Neiss has a great entry on his blog titled Starving The Golden Goose. His theme is the need to improve employee engagement and he gives eight specific things you can do to improve in that area. You can have the smartest, most skilled employees, but they are essentially worthless if they aren't engaged and motivated. It's well worth the time to read it.

I always believed about the importance of starving goose. While, in India, Trade Unions and associations sometimes work to rule out their own benefits and I call them self starving goose

Employee engagement with the company is the key element to consolidate a sustainable and profitable company. If an employee feels that the firmīs welfare is his own welfare will have a great incentive to make an efficient work.
