The Coffee Cup Is a Management Tool

"Let's grab a cup of coffee". That can be a powerful suggestion. When you want to focus on what someone is trying to tell you, when you don't have time for a business lunch, when you just need a few minutes in your day when you can focus on one thing at a time, take the other person out for coffee. It will be a nice break for you, a perk for them, and you'll learn more than you expect.

It’s also an excellent way to connect with your employees in an informal environment. By opening a dialogue with them over a cup of coffee, you can uncover their concerns about the job or their suggestions for improvement.
