Business Ethics from an Islamic Perspective

Thursday November 18, 2004
Our culture seems to be driven toward an "us or them" mentality lately. That's a mistake. We need to understand peoples and cultures that are different from our own. A good place to start is Business Ethics from an Islamic Perspective by Dr. Rafik Issa Beekun.

Another source that was recently brought to my attention is an e-zine called DinarStandard.com which addresses unique management issues for businesses in the Muslim world.

The organization that published that article has closed that server so there is no longer any way to reach the article.

However, Dr. Beekun has published a book titled “ISLAMIC BUSINESS ETHICS” that covers much of the same material. An excerpt of the book is available at http://www.scribd.com/doc/5548368/ISLAMIC-BUSINESS-ETHICS and at the bottom of the excerpt is information on ordering the book.
