Workers Like Adjustable Computer Workstations
Wednesday October 27, 2004
I have always liked to work at a stand-up desk, but it was always hard to convince an employer to provide one for me. Now there is a study out from the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society that reports 4 out of 5 workers, when given the choice, preferred such an arrangement.
The inducement for the employers, however, is that workers with adjustable workstations show "significantly more productivity". They also have less musculoskeletal pain, which can lead to lower health care costs for the employer.
