Coaching, An Essential Management Skill

Today I watched a senior manager coach a newer employee. Beyond being impressed by the skill of the coach, I was struck by the importance of the coaching skill in the manager's toolkit.

One of the most important things we do as managers is coach our subordinates. One of the most important skills you can develop as a manager is that of a good coach. Here are some resources that can help you improve your skill in that important area - coaching skills.
